Christmas 2015 Information for BID Businesses

BID Christmas 2015 ArtworkThis year’s Worcester BID Christmas campaign is built around a ‘Pop into Worcester’ theme incorporating an illustration in a 3D pop up style visualising representing the city centre’s offer to shop, eat and play. The core message of ‘Pop into Worcester’ is used as a call for action and to show that it’s easy and convenient to go to Worcester. ‘Because once upon a time is never enough’ is used to instil a feeling of loyalty to support local businesses long term and that they want to come back to experience more.

With the aim of getting people to spend Christmas in Worcester and also keeping them in the city rather than journeying elsewhere, we have bought advertising space in local and regional papers, lifestyle magazines, the back of buses, at train stations, petrol stations and major A roads. A dedicated newspaper wrap around Berrow’s Worcester Journal and a postcard campaign will be reinforcing the message to 50,000 households. This is complemented by an online campaign including Google Display Network advertising, a series of emailers and social media posts.

This multi-channel marketing campaign will particularly focus on Worcester and neighbouring towns and cities including Malvern, Hereford, Cheltenham, Evesham, Droitwich, Bromsgrove, Kidderminster, Shirley and Solihull.*

The Christmas in Worcester campaign is complemented by the Uniquely Worcester campaign, which focusses on the promotion of independent businesses in the Worcester BID area.
