Christmas in Worcester Window Dressing Competition

With Christmas approaching fast many shop windows are now having that inviting warm glow and showing off businesses and their products at their best. To showcase the great creativity that has gone into these Christmas window displays and to reward the efforts made by businesses and their staff, city centre businesses now have the opportunity to enter their festive windows for the new Worcester News Christmas Window Dressing Competition.

Who can enter?

BID area mapCity centre businesses within the following area:

Castle Street, Croft Road, the River Severn, Severn Street, Sidbury, City Walls Road, Sansome Street, Foregate Street

The competition is open to all BID businesses within this area.

Windows must be decorated in a Christmas theme.

 

How to enter?

You can easily enter your business in to the Christmas window competition completing the registration form and returning in to the Worcester BID no later than Friday 4th November 2016.

There are 36 spaces in the competition, this will be allocated on a first come first served basis. To register you will need to complete the form below and donate a £10 voucher from your business to contribute to the prize for that lucky winner!

Your windows will need to be ready by the 20th November, for photographs to be taken on Monday 21st and Tuesday 22nd November. Photos will appear in a special Christmas supplement on Thursday 1st December where readers are encouraged to visit your businesses to vote for their favourite window using the codes displayed in the windows (codes will be distributed out to you shortly after registration closes).

 

 

What are the prizes & how does the voting process work?

 

The winning reader will be selected at random and announced on Friday 9th December by the Worcester News. They will receive £360 worth of vouchers to spend from all participating businesses. Giving them 2 weeks shopping time before Christmas to get those perfect Christmas gifts or to treat themselves during those January blues.

The winning business will receive a free advertising campaign with the Worcester News worth £600 to be used before March 2017 (1x Full page, 2x Half pages, 4x Quarter pages or 40,000 impressions via worcesternews.co.uk).

How will the competition be promoted?

The window dressing competition will be launched to potential participating businesses by the Worcester News and supporting partners from w/c 28th November 2016.

The pictures entered into the competition will be displayed in the Worcester News in a dedicated feature 1st December 2016.

The competition will also be promoted via social media channels and businesses can promote their entries by using #WorcesterChristmasWindow.
