We work hard to ensure that there is a welcoming physical presence for visitors into the city centre and to combat instances of theft and other anti social behaviour both during the day and night. Taxi Marshals
Taxi Marshals have been in operation since April 2010, operating at the taxi rank in The Cross every Saturday night between 10.30pm and 4.30am on Sunday morning, as well as additional nights during Freshers’ Week and in the run up to Christmas. This service is currently suspended whilst we are looking into more cost effective ways to deliver this service.
